Welcome to tapdepot.com, the home of the "INTERCEPTOR" and
“ADVISOR”. The “INTERCEPTOR” is an electronic device designed
to detect and disrupt a telephone tap. This product
enables our customers to take a pro-active approach to address
security and safety needs. The "INTERCEPTOR" not
only alerts you to a telephone tap but it will also automatically
disrupt the telephone tap by emitting a load tone. The “ADVISOR”,
will detect a telephone tap and provide both an audible and
visual signal. Our law enforcement experience, coupled
together with our knowledge of industrial and residential security,
enables us to provide our customers with a telephone tap
detector with professional technology at an affordable
cost.

The Interceptor
not only alerts you to a telephone tap,
it will automatically disrupt the telephone tap by emitting
a load tone thereby disrupting the monitoring station or
tapping device. The frequency detection is 1 MHz - 6 GHz
and is not polarity sensitive, so "Tip and Ring" can have
any position on the line. Unlike other models which require
a voltage drop to trigger a monitoring station, or an increase
in line voltage to disrupt a recording device, the Interceptor
is line powered at a max of 1mW and always on guard.
The Interceptor can withstand line voltage up to 110 volts.
This important feature prevents an eavesdropper from placing
electrical current on the telephone line to disable
a telephone tap detector.
This unit is compatible with residential telephones, commercial,
PBX, Fax and DSL lines. The Interceptor will not interfere
with telephone service, or degrade network. It is recommended
that the interceptor remain on the telephone line
at all times to achieve its maximum goal.
Installation is "Modular Jack in & Modular Jack out".
The Interceptor may be installed on a single telephone
line disrupting monitoring or taping on an extension telephone
on the same telephone line, or at the demarcation
point. If installed at the demarcation point, all telephones
on the specified telephone line will have the benefit
of the Interceptor.

The Advisor is similar to the performance
of the Interceptor, in that, it will detect a telephone
tap, however it will not disrupt the tapping device. The
design of this telephone tap detector is based on research
in excess of sixteen (16) years. The technology of the
Advisor will provide a warning of a telephone tap with
both an audible and visual signal. This tap detector can
be calibrated for maximum sensitivity on the respective
telephone line. The exterior of the unit is shaped like
a doorstop to enable the user to wedge the device on a
wall telephone, or on a desk for easy access. The Advisor
is also line powered at a max of 1MW and compatible with
residential telephones, commercial, PBX, FAX and DSL lines.
As an added feature, the Advisor has a mute and hold button
to accommodate your telephone needs at home, office or
while traveling.
